Sparks That Light My Fire Business / Motivate

Some people make you laugh a little louder, your smile a little brighter, and your life a little better.

Being a visionary is hard. Following your dreams is really hard. Staying true to who you are and listening to what you need to help you come alive seems near impossible some days.

faceBeing an entrepreneur, a dreamer, a visionary, a leader means that on a daily basis I go through a myriad of emotions from extreme excitement about a meeting with a new client, an impassioned conversation with a like-minded business partner, and the enthusiasm that follows from the spark of new ideas… to thinking that perhaps I am crazy and how in the world do I really believe that I could make the dream actually come to life. Flat days and wanting to crawl into a cave on my own and sleep away the day is certainly not an unfamiliar feeling. The rise and fall of emotion is more intense than I ever knew working as an employee.

But there is a beautiful realisation dawning on me with each new day that I stay consistent to my internal fire. The support from the people I have surrounding me is what moves me forward…

Random conversations I have with strangers that end up enhancing my networks and suppling information and links to resources that help add so much value to my current plan.

A brief meeting in the supermarket with a friend confirms my gut feeling about a decision I was struggling to make.

During lunch dates with people who know me almost as well as I know myself understand where I am coming from, see and listen to my fears and help me strategise the steps needed to get me through to the other side where they have full fatith that I will land on my feet.

The priceless love of my family who just believe in me unconditionally, simply and vow to support my every move and be there even if I fall.

I have big dreams. I rarely settle for too long before gaining new insight and inspiration that immediately catapults me into my next adventure or evolving phase of life and business. But the wind beneath my wings (sorry for the cliche) is the beautiful people who surround me. Who really listen to me. Who want me to win. Without them I would have sunk into a big black hole a long time ago.

To all of those people (you know who you are) who stand beside me on this crazy journey, I thank you. You are the sparks that light my fire.
