Handy Jet Lag Remedies Travel

Going on holiday and travelling to different parts of the world is the most amazing thing; and when we are travelling to lots of different places in short succession one thing which can hit us hard is jet lag.

That feeling of tiredness and fatigue when we land back home or for our holiday is normal but it can sometimes take a little while to fix itself and for our bodies to eat used to everything. Today we are going to take a look at some of the ways that you can fight jet lag and make sure that you don’t lose too much of your time.

Test your new schedule before you leave

If you are going to be travelling somewhere which is in a different timezone to you, it is important for your body and your mind to be able to adjust to the change. Ideally the best thing you can do for yourself is take a day before you go for the trip to get used to everything. Take a whole day to sleep at the time you would do while you are away, to eat at the right times and this will allow your body to get used to things before you go.

Adapt on the flight

The next stand you need to consider doing is to get used to the feeling and the timings while you are on the flight. In other words if you need to stay awake on the plane because you’ll be arriving at night, make sure that you do so that your body gets used to it.

Arrive early

It is always a bad idea to travel a long distance for an event on the day of or the day before. Ideally if you can, always travel earlier than you need to so that you have a little bit of time to get used to the new lifestyle before your intended activities. This will prevent you from feeling groggy when you are on holiday trying to enjoy yourself.

Stay hydrated

It is crucial for you to always keep your body hydrated when you travel far, and you can even use a service like The IV Doc to help you with long journeys. When we change routines it is hard on our body because our body has a routine and a set of tasks it will perform subconsciously every day. When we muddle up our routine the body will lag and struggle, and water is a helpful way to invigorate.

Get outside

If you ever find yourself dealing with jet lag the best thing you can do for yourself is get outside into the sun and walk around. The body needs to be able to adjust and for that it needs energy. As well as this. Vitamin D will be produced as you are in the sun and this can be exactly what you need to invigorate and repair the cells.
